Went to Auto Club Speedway yesterday for Open Tracking. $200 for 4 x 25 Minute Sessions. Needless to say, I was physically exhaust afterwards emo-lol.gif. Had my family out with me so I got some good pictures, even bought my own garage for the day

The day went extremely well, with no issues from my car. My brake pads are toast though, I'll be upgrading to Porterfield brakes as soon as I can. They are much higher quality than Hawk brake pads but cost a little more $$.

There were a couple of close calls with accidents though. Viper GTS (the first generation) spun going into the chicane right after NASCAR turn 2, I needed a new set of underwear after that because he tried to pull back out in front of me when he spun (he was facing the wrong direction). Avoided that accident. Next accident was a BMW owner (figures) that spun the tires coming out of turn 6. spun right in front of me, I was right on his ass, slammed on the brakes and watched him do a 360 right in front of me, and almost got rearended by a G35 emo-what.gif

I was catching up to everyone in turn 7, 8, & 9. I outbraked everyone, hit the late apex in 9 (decreasing radius turn) and had a lot more momentum on the straightaway, enough so that I blew by an evo 10 (have pics of the passing progression).

Favorite part was turn 1 & 2 (Nascar corners). You're pulling so many G's around that corner its insane. I was hitting 140mph at the end of the corner, most everyone else was lifting off because they were "out of the comfort zone" which they drilled into our heads during the hour drivers meeting in the morning emo-lol.gif. The TKO was definitely the best decision I've made for this car, the closer gear ratios kept me right in my power band emo-thumbup.gif

Two accidents into the wall though and that's it. One was a Mazda 3 that was heavily braking and tried to turn thus resulting a spin into the wall. Then in the last session, the Evo 10 lost control in the last corner before the straight and went straight into a wall, totaled his car, and the run was cut short.
